Three sharp rhombic crystals of Rhodochrosite nestle amongst an array of near-vertical colourless prismatic Quartz crystals from the Pasto Bueno area of Peru. The Rhodochrosite crystals are a beautiful translucent-gemmy vibrant pink with stepped growth and hopper development, measuring overall to 1.5 cm. Lower portions of the Quartz crystals have a coating of white Muscovite mica with an attractive pearly lustre. A splendid cabinet specimen of Peruvian Rhodochrosite set against most attractive Quartz.
