A rare specimen of the cobalt iron arsenic sulphide Glaucodot, forming a single pyramidal, octahedral crystal partly enclosed within a characteristic matrix of Chalcopyrite mixed with Pyrrhotite. The silvery metallic Glaucodot crystal measures a very impressive 2 x 1.2 x 0.8 cm, good for the Håkansboda copper-cobalt deposit at Lindesberg in Örebro County, Sweden. Specimens of Glaucodot are far less abundant than the similar occurrence of Cobaltite crystals at this locality, where mining began as early as 1400. However, the main period of mining ran between 1613 and 1905.
