Large plate-like specimens of Quartz with rich coatings of grass-like Pyromorphite were discovered in a pipe-like raise about the shallow adit at Bwlch Glas mine during the 1970s but in order to prevent other collectors from visiting the mine vague, or spurious provenance was provided. This fine large display specimen heralds from that period, as it was previously labelled as from "Ceulanymaesmawr, Ceredigion, Wales". Now these are not only a Welsh classic but also some of the most dramatic Pyromorphite known from the UK. This is a really rare larger specimen and with large coverage of mostly undamaged seed-shaped to acicular Pyromorphite crystals. A well looked after classic from Wales.
