A striking off-matrix cluster of highly lustrous Chalcopyrite crystals from Kangjiawan, a hydrothermal Pb-Zn-Ag-Au deposit within the Shuikoushan ore field of Hunan Province, China. A single yet quite complex, golden brassy Chalcopyrite crystal with a bright metallic lustre and measuring approximately 3.5 x 3.5 cm, has several smaller, similar crystals branching out from the display face. All the crystals are deeply furrowed, striated and stepped, resulting in a play of reflected light which causes the specimen to glisten across multiple faces.
