Excellent, sharply formed wedge habit crystals of pale beige Hydroxylherderite measuring to 2.9 cm are richly clustered over the top of white crystalline blades of Albite Feldspar. This large miniature is from Barra do Salinas in the state of Minas Gerais, Brazil and is a well crystallised example of both species. Many of the Hydroxylherderite crystals are twinned, displaying clearly defined re-entrant angles and all with a film-like coating of pale beige earthy textured Hydroxylherderite giving a matt to a mild lustre with a porcelaneous appearance.
