Velvety rich moss-green druses of Pyromorphite in botryoidal stalagmites and mounds cover about half the display surface of a sooty-black Goethite coated Quartz matrix. Yet another delightful habit of Pyromorphite from the Les Farges mine at Ussel, Corr'ze, France. Under low magnification, the crystals show superb form, colour and lustre. In small patches, where the tips of the crystals have been broken off, the inner mustard-yellow colour of the crystals contrasts again the limey-moss-green to great effect. A beautiful Les Farges Pyromorphite.
