An interesting specimen of micro-crystallised Cuprite which cements brecciated fragments and shards of iron-stained milky Quartz. From Wheal Gorland in St. Day, in the parish of Gwennap, Cornwall, the Cuprite appears as lustrous metallic grey crystalline granules with a reddish hue and slight reddish patina. A rich example of this habit of Cuprite from this most famous Cornish mine.
