Calcite
A charming old-time specimen of curved thin blades of opaque to translucent snow-white Calcite, which subtly grade to buff-tan coloured rims. From the St Andreasberg District of Lower Saxony, Germany, the blades range mainly between 1 and 2 cm across, but do occasionally exceed this. The specimen is numbered 447 on its base (paper label) and comes wit two old, beautifully handwritten labels, one ex. dealer Dr A. Krantz of Bonn; the other from a private collection.
