A fine gemmy group of intergrown Calcite crystals from West Cumbria, England. Stout prismatic, well-formed ice-clear crystals of Calcite measure to 5 cm from a limonitic coated Hematite matrix, the crystals displaying first and second order pyramids to great advantage. The specimen has two Calcite crystals standing upright with two laying across the matrix. The specific mine is unknow, but it is most probably Bigrigg mine, situated between Egremont and Moor Row to the north. An excellent specimen of gemmy Calcites from West Cumbria.
