Smithsonite
An excellent example of Smithsonite from the MMM mine at Broken Hill, New South Wales, Australia, composed of lustrous light grey spherical crystal aggregates and wheat-sheaf /rice-grain sprays. This triangular-shaped specimen is equally displayable from either side; one face being entirely covered with well-crystallised Smithsonite; the opposite face has individual Smithsonite crystals of both habits attractively scattered over a sooty matt black matrix of either Goethite or Coronadite. An aesthetic Smithsonite from the MMM mine, Broken Hill.
