Malachite
A magnificent and very showy polished Malachite from the Gumeshevskiy mine in the Middle Urals of western-central Russia. The specimen has a sawn and polished flat base and a highly polished botryoidal top surface, with a bright, glossy lustre. The Malachite forms many differently coloured areas varying from deep bottle-green to light peppermint and a mildly turquoise-green. Nowadays such splendid examples of fine Malachite from the Urals are not easy to come by, making this a particularly rich and classic specimen.
