Bright crystal of Spessartine Garnet in Pyrrhotite from the Broken Hill Mines. Rich deep red-brown crystals of Spessartine are seen protruding through a vein of light brassy yellow Pyrrhotite on a crystalline Spessartine matrix. Crystals of Spessartine measure to 0.9cm. The specimen displays the relationship between the Garnet and the later sulphide mineralization.
