Two excellent, mirror-bright, jet-black cubic crystals of Bixbyite measuring to 6 mm, with sawtooth corner and edge modifications, associated with gem-clear Topaz crystals. The Bixbyite crystals have a brilliant metallic lustre and very pleasingly contrast against the snow-white Rhyolite matrix. This is a superb example of Bixbyite, a manganese iron oxide, especially because of their wonderfully modified edges, making this specimen an ideal candidate for crystallographic study.
