Baryte
A magnificent group of large translucent creamy Baryte blades in the habit of pointed, spear-shaped crystals. From the Wet Grooves mine at Askrigg in Wensleydale, North Yorkshire, the crystals have excellent, undamaged terminations and are typically 3 to 4 cm tall, measuring around 5 cm on their longer edges. A splendid Baryte crystal group with a bright and glassy lustre.
