A high quality crystallized small miniature Cuprite from the Tsumeb mine in Namibia with equant crystals to around 5 mm. Ex-matrix, the crystals are densely intergrown, displaying complex cubo-octahedral habits of a lustrous deep maroon while appearing as a dark grey-black metallic group from a typical viewing distance. Examined close to, by eye or a x5 loupe, flecks of internal claret red are seen in some crystals, towards their edges. This is a top-notch miniature Cuprite with superb crystal form.
