Bismuthinite$300.00

Wire transfers available, to set up
Intergrown, metallic silver Bismuthinite plates measuring to nearly 3 cm form compound parallel clusters with tiny patches of iridescent Native Bismuth and creamy, probable, Bismutite in a milky Quartz matrix. This rich example of Bismuthinite is from Carrock mine in the Caldbeck Fells of the English Lake District. For a long time Carrock mine was the source of many good specimens and a firm favourite with collectors. Sadly, as like so many similar localities, mineral collecting is now strictly banned, so allowing the minerals to weather away on the tips and be lost to science forever.
