This intergrown cluster of doubly terminated, tabular crystals to 5 cm across looks more like a modern sculpture of metal than a crystal cluster. It is simply shocking in shape! Unlike most of them which are floater clusters of hexes, this has two balls of smaller, delicate calcite discs wrapped into the cluster, acting as connecting points like in a child's toy set of sticks and wheels. The crystals are lustrous and translucent with the short prismatic faces being a bit darker green and with higher luster than the basal faces. A "poker chip" comparison is obvious. Just lovely! These are very dramatic specimens from a 2016 find here.
