Superb, thin, platy cluster of overlapping, mirror-like Hematites from Brumado. The largest of these crystals is 6.7 cm. The luster is so superior that I could shave using this specimen! I tried not to blow out the photos with light, but did include some where you can appreciate just how good the reflective lustrous surface is. We had to really dim down the lights to capture the surface detail well without it becoming a shining mirror at the camera. Much better in person! Among many I have seen, this is a surprisingly elegant and different style.
