Wardite
This is a remarkable floater cluster of large, translucent, bluish-gray wardite crystals to 2 cm across, from this famous locality which certainly has produced the world's best for the species in my opinion. The front is very lustrous and bright, while the backside is covered with a sprinkling of sparkly siderite microcrystals. There is no contact point - the cluster is entirely a floater free of matrix attachment points, terminated all around! The major crystal here is almost an INCH in size! This specimen features the largest fine crystal for the species that I have personally seen, for sale or otherwise. It was collected in the field by French collector, from whom I obtained it in Munich when he sold a part of his longtime personal collection.
