Outstanding in form, luster and transparency, along with a rich amber color, this calcite crystal epitomizes the very best traits of these famous Malmberget calcites. This is from the amazing find here, a remarkable discovery made by collector Peter Lyckberg and others in the 1980s. Specimens from this pocket were worth more than their weight in platinum at the time, and are still treasured today - though, very hard to obtain from the few collectors who own them. This fine specimen is a very showy representative crystal from this unique pocket.
