Beautifully twinned Cubanite crystals from the Henderson #2 mine at Chibougamau, Quebec. This locality reached their world wide zenith here in the mid-1980s and not again in this quality. This exquisite thumbnail example consists of a pair of lustrous, metallic brass-yellow, 1.5 cm crystals that are perfectly twinned! This is a fine, competition level thumbnail with exquisite luster and patina, originating from the Bill and Anne Cook collection. Cubanite from the Henderson #2, a small copper-gold mine in rural Canada, produced the world's finest twinned crystals which are now scarce and sought after as old classics. This is a particularly fine example with excellent metallic luster and very distinct twins!
