This stunning burst of 3 to 4cm, totally transparent, nail head style Calcites is the type of piece that just makes a collector smile. The gemmy, clean crystals with characteristic terminations radiate in a distinct spray which is intergrown with an adjacent more vertical crystal. Some contacting on the backside. If this piece came from a traditional source of this habit, such as Egremont, the price would be exponentially higher. This piece displays fabulously on its acrylic base! From a small and mostly unknown find of about 2015.
