These old Italian classics are hard to come by now in good size and this is a very aesthetic, flower-shaped cluster of robust green aragonites with exquisite condition. The elongated hexagonal crystals and pastel green color are distinct to this mine. Historically, I have seen older examples from the 1800s but it seems the mine was still open into the early 1980s. The color on many of these is a very faint green, but this is stronger than others I have seen; and the luster and translucency are also excellent.
