Creedite
Modern classics! They are gorgeous, unusual, showy, and frankly also among the best specimens of their species - these came out in a single large batch from this old fluorite mine, right before it was closed for economic/political reasons a few years ago. It features two joined hemispheres of lustrous and translucent bright orange creedite, with crystals to 2 cm in length, for a balanced overall specimen. Minor fluorite and gearksutite is also present. We have seen many of these, as have you all, but for balance, color, crystal size, and overall style, this one stands out. I think they are very inexpensive for the species, considering the prices fetched by past finds of pale and lavender-colored creedites from other locales. However, because this was from Mexico, and so many came at once, the prices were depressed and they became, briefly, sold as wholesale commodities at the time when the mine was producing. No longer!
