Fluorapatite with Chlorite$950.00

Wire transfers available, to set up
This is a cluster of tabular and very gemmy, modified hexagonal crystals of Fluorapatite from the alpine cleft-type deposits in the Shigar Valley. The straw-yellow color is quite appealing, and it complements the super luster of the crystals. The largest crystal is actually 3 cm across, and the crystals are either parallel or intergrown. Naturally, the cluster is contacted at the bottom where it was mined out of the deposit. Most of the prism faces are included with very slender, mm-long green crystals, perhaps actinolite, yet the flat terminations remain lustrous and clear. Preferential "dustings" like this are endlessly fascinating, I think. An unusual and attractive Fluorapatite from a well known locality, and a one-time find. Ex Obodda collection.
