Titanite (twinned)
This is a sharp and twinned, lustrous, translucent, greenish-yellow Titanite crystal from classic old discoveries at Capelinha, Brazil: one of the most significant localities for the species. This occurrence has consistently produced great specimens of this mineral over several decades. There is a very well-developed twin plane running down the length of the crystal with the twin components being very distinct on both the front and back of the crystal. Nearly pristine. It also displays a wonderful rich, lime green color with very obvious gemmy areas internally and one side displays a glassy luster while the other side more of a satin luster. The side with the glassy luster shows complex, geometric growth forms on the broad face. This little beauty has a Mass of 15.07 grams.
