This sharp rutile crystal has the highest possible level of attainment in quality for luster and surface shine, from a North Carolina rutile location. It is literally, metallic in appearance. The video should convey this. This rare quality specimen could be a true thumbnail if nipped a little at the base, but it is properly a small miniature, even though it was placed diagonally in a TN box to fit in the collection of Kyle Kevorkian, thumbnail collector. Thumbnail collecting can be flexible, in that size regard, so we classify it as a miniature to show that it is a little larger than a standard TN! This was obtained directly from well known field collector, Terry Ledford, who collected it.
