Pyromorphite (gem xls) on Quartz$5,500.00

Wire transfers available, to set up
This unique style of pyromorphite dates to the early 2000s, and was one of the most rare of many styles produced in the first releases of material from this amazing lead mine, in Guangxi province of China. It is actually only a few hours north of our Chinese office and warehouse in Guilin, and you can look for a future talk on the mine at one of our Dallas Symposia. This specimen has a sparkle and shimmer to it, that is unique among all. The pyromorphites are elongated textbook crystals, like little gemmy green barrels, that are all translucent and sparkling as if they were made of blown glass (it sounds like an exaggeration, I know - but is not). They are perched on stark contrasting white matrix - you could not ask for more dramatic contrast! To this day, specimens of this style are among the least seldom seen. We are happy to have one to offer.
