Yugawaralite on Quartz$2,750.00

Wire transfers available, to set up
This old specimen from a now-closed quarry features really fine, gemmy, truly large crystals of the extremely rare Zeolite species, Yugawaralite. There are three distinct clusters of lovely, colorless, transparent, bladed crystals to 4.5 cm in size, which are very large for the species! The large, central cluster is composed of at least a half dozen glassy Yugawaralite crystals and these are all complete and terminated. The cluster to the right consists of at least a dozen tightly grouped smaller (2 cm) crystals with most of them terminated, but some of them not. The other bundle to the left is made up of large and mostly incomplete blades. The showy central group of large, perfect crystals is quite important for the species. The glistening, white, druzy Quartz provides a great backdrop for the Yugawaralite. Rock Currier would have carried this out himself, and he kept in his collection for decades, literally (it was found in the 1980s). This is an important and large, display-quality example of a very, very rare species, at nearly the maximal known size, and with great provenance as the India suite was Rock's personal pride, assembled over 50 years or so since he opened up exports from India to the USA and really helped build the market there.
