Cuprian Adamite
Greece is known for sparkling, beautiful cuprian adamite but this piece is particularly intense and sparkling, especially compared to previous finds. This pocket of March 2020 will be famous for the fact that it has a rich color and fabulous luster, but the crystals on this piece are just a bit MORE sparkly and translucent than others. It is hard to convey in photos, but this miniature just has more "pop," for lack of a better way to say it. It glows with color. White spots that look like damage, are not. They are small bits of aragonite or calcite in the gaps between the translucent adamite balls.
