Rhodochrosite
An interesting and attractive specimen comprised of three layered generations of Rhodochrosite. The first generation is banded pink low-temperature Rhodochrosite, with embedded needles of Manganite (?) on the bottom. The second generation is very gemmy, deep red, high temperature Rhodochrosite - the brilliant red that draws the eyes and makes the mouth water. Finally, there is a layer of bright lustrous drusy pink Rhodochrosite that provides even more contrast and visual interest. Very aesthetic in its simplicity and beauty. Old material from the early 1980s or late 1970s. Ex. Charlie Key stock.
