Pezzottaite
This fine, geometric thumbnail specimen of pezzottaite is from the 2002-2003 pocket and was purchased by John Veevaert early in the Tucson show of 2003 and then sold to Ernie Schlichter on the spot, so to speak. It was one of the more balanced, translucent, and evenly colored specimens we got at the time. I was there with John, buying as well when they came out and shocked us all. Such specimens are seldom seen on the market today! This has an even color, a solid color, and a good shape - whereas most have only 2 of these 3 qualities. Note that the color does change in different lights, halogen or fluorescent. This specimen is translucent/transparent throughout and has some degree of value for cutting rough as a bonus (though it would be sad to see it cut). It is 14.15 carats
