Beryl var. Aquamarine
This is literally a "Jacquerto bullet" of gem aquamarine, exactly the classical type of famous material that came from a few pockets in the 1980s and remain classics of Brazil gem discoveries to this day. It is 25.9 grams and is a solid gem crystal, tapered and terminated on both ends. The Larson/Pala Intl beryl collection is important for its broad range of aquamarines and beryls from classic locations and would not be complete without one of these. Interestingly, many crystals were cut, particularly these smaller ones that look like gem nodules to begin with, and were easy to evaluate for cutting at the time. So although Jacqueto aquamarines are uncommon on the market today, a fine miniature is actually perhaps more rare than larger specimens. Complete, floater, 360 degree specimen. This was installed in the Pala Intl beryl case for display by the late 1980s and comes with another one of that era's hard plastic display labels.
