Fluorite (pink/green pocket)
A special miniature that is a 360-degree complete floater composed of intergrown GEM, see-through octohedra of fluorite. They have pink color with mint green cores. These crystals come from the single most famous and rare pocket of fluorite found in Peru, in 1980 or 1981, that consisted of gem pink octohedra with "fuzzy" mint green cores within. They almost never turn up on the market anymore, and they have not been equaled or duplicated since. They remain unique to this time and place. Only a few very trivial dings or slight contacts mar the periphery, visible only upon very close inspection. The pink color is better in person, than in the camera eye. Joe Budd photos.
