Beryl var. Aquamarine
This is a stunning gem crystal from SAN DIEGO, where aquamarine is so very very rare! You can see the clarity, transparency, and relatively good blue color in the video best. In person, it has slight surface features you can see in the photos but is essentially as sharp as you would dream it to be. It has to be one of the finest San Diego origin thumbnail gem crystals out there. Bill Larson obtained it from the miner, long ago. The deposit was one of the earliest sources of gem quality beryl in San Diego County, and was discovered in November of 1903 (per MINDAT.org - read more here: https://www.mindat.org/loc-91426.html).
