Covellite and Pyrite

This species reaches its zenith from this locality. Tabular, iridescent, purplish-blue, crystals of covellite, to 2.5 cm across, are associated with bright, golden, pyrite crystals. There is minor chipping on the right side of the covellite crystals, but this is trivial in context and it is in better shape than most others I have seen, plus has superb 3-dimensionality and displays better than the usual lumpy specimens we see. OLD CLASSIC,, now nearly impossible to get, especially in competition quality specimens!
