Calcite (illustrated)
Unusual and translucent spherical aggregates to 3 cm across of rich tan colored calcite sit on contrasting matrix of lustrous, resinous, dark blackish brown, sphalerite crystals. This odd specimen is complete all around and is simply Unusual and attractive! Mined in May 1991 and ex. Ross Lillie collection. RCL# 1366. Illustrated in the MR, Illinois-Kentucky Fluorite Issue, Vol28, #1, Jan.-Feb.1997, page 32, fig.54.
