Azurite
A simply breathtaking, special miniature of azurite with perfection, poise, and color. We obtained several hundred specimens of fantastically lustrous intense blue azurite from the "Watercourse Pocket" of Milpillas around 2014, and David Stoudt picked this choice miniature from that lot, off the top. It is more bright and shiny, a little more saturated in blue (dark but not too dark), and simply more sculptural, than most. A total floater, complete all around - even the back. It has been in the Stoudt collection ever since.
