Pharmacosiderite, Scorodite
Sparkly, variably green pharmacosiderite microcrystals richly line numerous small vugs and partially coat most sides of the hefty sulfide matrix on this excellent old-time specimen from the Penberthy Croft Mine of Cornwall. The piece also hosts small areas of tiny, translucent, gray balls of scorodite. Penberthy Croft is an ancient mine with production in the 18th century and closed around 1840. Highly representative of the species and historic, old locale. Ex. Alex Williams and Wes Parker Collections.
