Fluorite on Quartz var. Amethyst
This is a fine golden yellow, translucent, elliptical globe of Fluorite perched on a bed of pale Amethyst crystals from India. The Fluorite botryoid measures 3.2 x 2.5 x 2.6cm and is in perfect condition. The Amethystine Quartz crystals are moderately well formed and are a great compliment to the yellow Fluorite. Botryoidal Fluorite is very unusual and these "fried-egg" specimens from India are particularly prized. A well balanced, unusual specimen. One of the few botryoidal examples of fluorite, worldwide.
