Franklinite
A MAJOR example of this important species! This remarkable, important specimen has crystals to 5 cm and is the best I've ever seen for sale publicly. Look at the killer, complex crystals here...the more rare habit than simple octohedra you normally see. It masses almost 2 kilos. The old label dates from 1880-1895, I am told. As with most franklinites, there is some peripheral wear but overall this is in great shape, and impressive visually for luster and 3-dimensionality. Way off the charts... Ex.
