Emerald, Pyrite
Source special issue: flawless-beauty, PDF page: 109. Label: Figure 114. Emerald beryl with pyrite, 1.9 cm, from the Muzo mine, Muzo Municipality, Western Boyacá Province, Boyacá Department, Colombia. When I first saw this specimen as a child, owning it became my number one aspiration; I remembered it as being cabinet-sized, but when I finally found it again many years later, I had to laugh because it’s just a thumbnail! Will Johnson collection; Tom Spann photo. Reference: Wilson and Moore (2016).
