Quartz with Clay inclusions
Yellow layers of complex phantoms with lots of complexity upon close inspection, hide inside each of these exceptionally sharp, gemmy, colorless quartz points. The overall aspect is unique and unusual - specimens from this find of the mid-2000s (2005?) are immediately recognizable for this look, in fact. Clay inclusions in quartz are well known from Brazil, but this presents a cluster of stunningly lustrous and gemmy crystals, with more yellow inclusions than the typical beige, white, or reddish sorts. Three dimensional, unusual, and extremely hard to photograph. Better in person! ex. Hottel quartz collection
