Quartz (Var: Smoky Quartz)

Here we have a great scepter Smoky Quartz specimen from a new locality in Hallelujah Junction in California. I obtained this specimen directly from the miner who collected it. It actually has some very good form and color, for any locality, especially one in the U.S. This specimen features a very sharp, lustrous, well formed, defined smoky color scepter crystal with a distinct dual-tone color variation that almost gives it a Citrine shade on the upper portion of the scepter. Some minor contacts around the specimen keep it from being a world-class Quartz, but this area that is being worked is brand new and has the potential to produce some very impressive specimens. 7.2 x 4.0 x 3.7cm
