Spessartine on Quartz
Nearly covering a glassy and gemmy, smoky quartz crystal, measuring 3.5 cm in length, is a layer of lustrous and translucent orange crystals of spessartine, to 7 mm in length. These finds started trickling to the market in the late 90s, but it wasn't till a few years later that the actual locality was known, as the find was protected from public knowledge initially.
