Spessartine, Quartz (Var: Smoky Quartz)
A showy and excellent Chinese combination specimen of gemmy and lustrous, orange spessartine garnets richly scattered and nicely intermixed on 3-dimensional feldspar matrix with upright, glassy smoky quartz crystals and a muscovite book from recent finds at Tongbei. The fat, glassy smoky in the front is 1.8 cm and the one broken smoky in the back, middle is out of sight. The base has been sawed to enhance display.
