Sulfur on Aragonite
A matrix of lustrous, white, twinned, doubly terminated aragonite crystals to 3 cm across, forms the backdrop for lemon yellow, flat lying, sulfur crystals which occur in the interstices between the aragonite crystals. This combination of colors gives this old specimen an interesting look. Note that this is the original aragonite here! In MOST CASES with this association form this mine, the original aragonite has been replaced by alteration and is now calcite. Sulfur on this natrual aragonite is quite rare, in fact. This beautiful piece is the largest such I have seen for sale. BETTER In PERSON!
