Fluorite
A very showy, incredibly stepped-faced, green fluorite specimen from Naica, Mexico. The complexity of the stepped-faces on this super glassy and lustrous piece is amazing. The three prominent, flat-topped, cubic terminations have all the appearances of stepped Mayan temples and the piece is beautifully dusted with tiny calcite crystals. The back of the piece is attached to a bit of galena. This classic, textbook, Naica fluorite material and was self-collected by Jaime Bird in the 1970s. Ex. Jaime Bird Collection.
