Calcite (Var: Manganoan Calcite)
An elegant specimen of sharp, dog-tooth Manganoan Calcites on matrix. The .5 cm crystals have a lovely lavender-pink color and an attractive frosted surface. The bands of Calcites along the matrix are perfectly proportioned for maximum visual appeal. Excellent red fluorescence. Very rarely do you see this habit from the Kalahari and, in fact, I have only seen it from Hotazel. An excellent, attractive specimen. Ex. Charlie Key.
