Zinkenite (Type Locality)
This is a highly important specimen - an aesthetic thumbnail cluster of large zinkenite crystals on matrix of sparkling quartz, from the ancient type locality. The quartz matrix seems to be a cast or replacement of quartz after Baryte, perhaps. It is aesthetic, in any case, as contrast! Some damage is present when you look closely, but the spray at eye-level looks quite nice. This came out of an old collection being dispersed in Europe in 2015, and I was very happy to obtain such a rare thing. I have seen and handled only a few.
